Snails can make you sick

A new type of disease has surfaced in China by eating
snails. Beijing has confirmed 132 cases of disease, which
is the result of eating snails. The disease is caused by a
parasite that can affect brain, spinal cord and even cause
meningitis. Eating Amazonian snails causes this, which is
originated in South America.

These snails first came to China in the 1980s as a
delicacy. Now this delicacy is getting deadly!
